Radiometry - In telecommunications and physics, radiometry is the field that studies the measurement of electromagnetic radiation, including visible light. Note that light is also measured using the techniques of photometry, which deal with brightness as perceived by the human eye, rather than absolute power. Electromagnetic field - An electromagnetic field is composed of two related vector fields: the electric field and the magnetic field. When referred to as the electromagnetic field, the field is imagined to encompass all of space; typically an electromagnetic field is considered to be limited to a local area around an object in space. Cyclotron radiation - Cyclotron radiation is a type of bremsstrahlung (braking) radiation. It is electromagnetic radiation emitted by moving charged particles trapped in a magnetic field. Human radiation experiments - Since the discovery of ionizing radiation, a number of human radiation experiments have been performed to understand the effects of ionizing radiation and radioactive contamination on the human body. Early pioneers did not appreciate the danger of such experiments and quite casually exposed experimenters and subjects to such radiation.
